does the mix amp come with it?
Best review EVA!!
you are a great reviewer. keep up the good work
ima git it o=
px5s or astros a40s
just ordered the 2011 a40s…great review
@thesituation786 Astro always.
thanks for the review, i had a quick Q, is there any reason to have the mix amp if you don’t have an xbox 360 and just want to use it on the pc? you mentioned a recommendation on getting it, but i don’t want to get it if i don’t have to. thanks!
Do you like these better than the HPX/HPA2 setup?
@thesituation786 is depends what you want!
Excellent Review – Still sticking with my x41s though
so ive been doin some research and as of november 3rd i can only see two headsets not headphones with a mic mod that are really good the pc360s or a40s
@adecoy95 there are much better headphones to get for the PC. I would only get the astros if youre playing on console. Check out the ATH AD700
I know you did a review/comparison between the A30′s and A40′s. I got the A30′s and I am loving them. I would really like to know the vast in depth differences between the sound quality to the A40′s.
stop reading on a paper….
So anyone seen both white and black in person? Which one looks better?
Many of the items listed in this review are no longer part of the $250 package. You no longer get the case, foam ear dampener inserts, nor the 2nd closed ear plate. But does come with an optical cable now.
do you know whether or not the case is included? or do you have to pay and extra 19.99 to get the case?
The case is no longer included ass a freebie as it is shown in some reviews or posts on astro’s website itself, you will be paying 19.99 for the case from now on as astro was losing money on it, and the foam inserts are no longer included free. Regardless, I purchased my A40′s on the 7th and they shall be arriving to my home in toronto ON by the 9th. Well worth the money and wait
Turtle Beach’s “play like a pro” statement has diminished in my opinion. If you look at they’re ONLY tournament ready headset, it in fact states in the description that the Astro Mixamp is the only possible way to use the headset via XBL/PSN. so sad TB… SO sad.
Also if you have older a40′s you can get all of these upgrades on the site and make yours like new
you talk to much
@Gumbyable01 Its a review………..
