This is my ultimate review of the high performances Astro A40 headset. This is the MLG wired special edition in white colour. The MixAmp Pro, allows you to manage all the volumes and get the 5.1 Dolby Digital sound right to your headset. Using it you also have a very useful feature of “voice monitoring” that lets you to listen your voice and voice of others in chat mixed with game sounds in your ears and if you adjust the volumes you don’t get confused and you can actually understand what you’re saying without screaming and is a lot useful if you do live commentaries as I do, so it’s really easier to listen to yourself through the headset without screaming at all. The boom mic. is also pretty good and fully adjustable and it is supposed to deliver better audio quality to yourself through the headset and to the person you are talking to. Overall I have to say that this is the best headset I’ve ever tried in terms of audio quality, with clear bass and crisp highs sounds, comfort and design. I have been notified by Sony Corp that I am the first to purchase this product because I bought it Sep 4 and don’t come out til Sep 6 and i know this because I called them for a protection plan. I talked the Management Specialist of this Product. I feel special Price: .99+tax There is no Official Date for people from outside the United States, my best suggestion is to order them from a US website. Headset Details: 1) 40mm Speakers 7.1 Virtual Surround Sound. 2) Ear pads are comfortable. 3) Retractable Microphone with clear voice chat. 4) Can be used for when watching movies. 5) Wireless adaptor for PS3. 6) Compatible with computers. 7) Battery Life up to 7.5 hrs when fully charged. Range approx. 10m ( 33ft ). 9) Precise Master Volume Control. 10) Boost Chat Volume. In my opinion they met my expectations and the quality of the sound is good but does not match up Tritons. Its a good start for Sony and I know they will improve PS3 Wireless Stereo Headset. Overall, the headset is Comfortable,Good Quality Sound/Voice Chat, Affordable.
